Hey folks,

I currently have a Geforce 4 Ti4600 video card. I'm wondering if anyone out there can tell me if any of the Geforce FX cards would give me a significant improvement in performance. by significant I mean 25% or more.

I realize the broadness of the question; all I ask is for an opinion. I don't want to spend $300 for a 10% improvement in performance.

Thanks in advance!

My system specs are as follows:
2.53 GHz Pentium 4
1GB System RAM
Geforce 4 Ti400 w/128MB
60GB HDD
SB Audigy

What are you using the card for? I would think that the FX series would offer a significant performance increase for games that use DX9. It also depends on the FX card. 5200 or 5600 I don't think you would see a 30% increase. With a 5900 or 5950 ultra I think you would see a pretty significant increase in games that run a high res with all the bell and whistles turned on. (AA/AF). Also the 5900 non-ultra should be priced well below $300 US and would offer a pretty nice increase in performance.
