I think I've seen that somewhere before. Oh now I remember, wasn't that R9700AIW one the MotherShip in BattleStar Gallactica?

Seriously, at that point I'm thinking, Liquid cooling would be easier, quieter, and better. Sure it look BadA$$, but really a nice phase change liquid setup would be much nicer and work much better.

But then again I'm of two minds. Either A) just go with stock hardware and push that. Or if you are going to go through the effort of doing something like that pictured, go all out.

Depending on what the new small VOODOO cooling system costs I may look into that for my next gaming rig.

OK... so its gonna be crazy loud and take up at LEAST 2 PCI slots.

I was thinking with that kinda heatsink arrangment you could get by with one silent 80mm fan or no fans at all!

That would make a good conversationalist piece. Leave it out on your coffee table and invite all your friends over.....

Yeah, and if its a nice summer day and you need to cool off, just hook up the fans to the nearest 12V source and you are golden...

Hell, with that configuration, you'd have to chain your box down so it didn't helicopter off through your roof.

No details yet. It's still brand-spanking new, and they don't have much literature on them, but they did use one in a Maximum PC rig for this year's Dream Machine IIRC, and they did have one on TechTV.

And how would you get one without a complete system, well it helps to live in Calgary where they are located.
