You don't need the floppy, just enter your user name and password. As the password is something you use daily, you should be able to remember it.
I'm a bit skeptical about all the forgotten passwords.

Why do you need to alter both the username and password? You can do this from any administrator account without the need of a floppy disk. Are you able to log on to an admin account?
