Unable to delete avi movie files after viewing in WMP

Hi, This is a very strange problem. Recently I got hold of some avi movies.
To view it with Windows Media Player v9.0, DivX drivers are needed. Watching
it are fine but afterward the file cannot be deleted. Windows complains
something has the file opened and in use. At times even rebooting wouldn't
help. But eventually, after many tries, the avi file can be deleted.
Doesn't matter whether it is sp1 or sp2, same problem. Any ideas!! Thx.
