What type of cable should be used for routing a VGA signal? I have 4-pair UTP and quad-shielded RG6 running in the walls. Will either of these work? At what distance will I need a signal booster? Thanks.

I would use thre RG6. under most cases you can run it about 125 feet (About 38 meters) with very minimal signal loss.

I aint signing nothing!!!

Thanks for your input, Rick. Do you mean use a SVGA to component video converter cable on each end of the run?
The cables I've seen for this seem to run around $100 apiece :-( & I'd rather avoid the extra $200.

My project involves connecting a closet computer to RG6/UTP cables running through the walls to a video projector in the ceiling. I'm prepared to settle for S-video, but wondered if there was an easy way to preserve the SVGA signal.
