I've run into a snag where whenever I insert a CD into a system that contains Windows Millenium Edition, as soon as the system starts to read the cd, it reboots completely. Was wondering what it could possibly be. Conflict in hardware, conflict in drivers, what?

Go into Control Panel and open Device Manager look for the cdrom icon in the device string. Go into its properties and in the settings tab make sure the DMA box is not ticked then save the settings by clicking ok.

I'm inclined to agree with dhlucke though (as the saying goes "many a true word spoken in jest" ). After many bad experiences with WinME I finally came to the conclusion it should be avoided at all costs!
