DAE - Best for Ripping?

another vote for cdex, version 1.5b10 is out i think. or at least that's the one i use. Totally filled with options, from sound quality to what legel of compression you want. takes about 30 seconds to rip a cd track into a mp3 on my system, not sure if that's fast or slow though.

Just downloaded CDex - compared it to AudioCatalyst...
Both about the same per speed and features....
but, AudioCatlyst has now been purchased by Real, and is no longer Free!{$29)
For like features,

It's tuff to beat Free! That's how I got Audio Catlyst 2.x, when it was free, but V 3.0 isn't...

thats progress for ya. Just when somthing great and free comes along some wonderful company comes along and sticks its grubby damn fingers into the mix and **cks it up for everyone.

I would normally vote for CDex but now im going to go find a cracked copy of audio cat just out of spite :)
