problem at startup

when my comp starts up and everything is loaded, a windows installer pops up
and then a message error from norton antivirus comes up and says norton does
not support the repair feature, uninstall and re install, but the problem is
i didnt download any repair feature and so i dont know how to find it on my
computer? can anyone help??????

This is a Norton question, not Windows, and you should seek help at
Symantec...

But it looks like your installation of Norton Antivirus is damaged. You
most likely need to completely uninstall it and all related components
(LiveReg and LiveUpdate), manually remove the excess directories, purge
registry entries, restart, and reinstall.

This might help, though you don't mention what version of NAV you are using:
on this page, select Norton Antivirus and then the version. Click Other if
you are using 2003 or earlier

on this page choose the version:
http://www.symantec.com/techsupp/nav/discontinued.html

On this page for the version you have, click on Knowledgebase and enter
"uninstall". You should be able to find removal instructions including the
use of the RNAV tool, for example rnav2003.exe. You'll need to download
that one separately.
