Flashing bios?

what does it exactly mean to flash the bios? is it something like upgrading something on the video card or motherboard?
im asking because when i run the MSI live update thing, i see an option to flash the bios, and i dont have much of an idea what it is. thanks for your help.

update bios only when you need it, but if u feel like it, just do it, MSI offers a pretty easy to update ur Bios, just follow the instruction you'll be fine

and coolsquirtle, i built this card myself, using parts from a car engine and a military surveillance satellite.

Well actually, yes i did. I believe it is running DirectX 30.0d. And, its 3DMark <b> 3003 </b>, not 2003

Well what u do is walk upto the computer in a trenchcoat then flash it a good one!

With luck the PC and the bios will be so scared they will upgrade themselves!
