erm... are those two R9600 pro versions? if u want to get a nvidia 5200, might as well top up a bit from the budget of the R9600 and get a 5700 instead... 5200 cant last u as long as the nv5700 and R9600...
get the pro version (for R9600) or the ultra version (for nV5700)...

If u want more info, copy and paste this link to ur browser and take a look for urself =x

ok u see, if u are going for the R9600 cards, u cannot put the nV5200 in comparism to them. the 5200 is in a different catagory all together.. its in the budget segment... to take 1 of 3 of the cards out, it shld be nv5200. Im not being biased to Ati or anything, just telling u what i know. hee... happy shopping... do take a look at that post i pasted on my previous reply to u... it shld help u greatly... honest.

oh yeah 4 got about the question. If its radeon, get the gigabyte one... (other than the quality of the card itself i also like the packaging... >.< ) it all boils down to ur choice, i would recomend the gigabyte one but the asus one is not bad too. ur choice. =D

oh ok keke... but strangely, when i got my powercolour one (LOL), the memory was clocked at 339mhz X 2 (678mhz~ DDR)... the normal one shld be 600mhz (Built by Ati)... Im not sure but haha i left it alone at that 339mhz speed...

so this should be the order
1. Asus Geforce Fx 5200
2. Gigabyte Radeon 9600
3. Asus Radeon 9600

I had asus riva tnt2 before. That worked without any problem and its very reliable. I was just wondering if the gigabyte will be as reliable as the asus and run trouble free.

Thnanks.

If you want a 5200, get the ultra version the non ultra version is often crippled by a 64bit memory interface......

Look, he IS comparing them, so let him be. Maybe those are the three cards that are within his budget locally...

I'd recommend that he get either of the Radeons, depending on which is cheaper. If they are priced the same, flip a coin.

Damn Rambus.

okay then it will be gigabyte radeon.

funny but thats the cheapest of all. At my market the price of asus fx5200 is almost double the gigabyte radeon.
asus Fx5200(Non Ultra) $140(approx)
gigabyte radeon 9600(Non Pro) - $70

Thanks all.

I prefer ASUS, but Gigabyte is solid (I love them as a mobo maker).

The thing to be sure of is that it's not an R9600SE. Try and get some specific specs.
It should have a core speed of 325mhz, and memory speeds of 400mhz (200x2), also make sure the memory is 128bit, and not 64 bit.

Either should do fine. Go with whichever has features you like most (software, VIVO, etc.), also make sure the warranties are simmilar.

As always, that's just my two frames worth.

Now off to sleep, it's been a VERY long day.
