flashing 9800pro to 9800xt

Would it be possible to do and would it gain in speed???

My own beast: Athlon 2700xp+ (oc: 3200xp+ with 200fsb) , Radeon 9800pro (oc: 410/370) , 512mb ddr400. SO MUCH faster than my last computer (pIII 550......)

I suppose it's possible to do it, although I couldn't say for sure. You probably wouldn't gain anything in speed as the XT is basically just an overclocked PRO anyways. Might as well be safe and just keep your pro o/ced.

What do you need the extra speed for anyways?

Nearly any 9800 Pro should overclock to 9800XT speeds, so it should be fine.

Flashing an XT bios to a 9800Pro will change it's memory timings and likely cause problems.
