I need to buy notebook in 2 or 3 months, for my programming class. Really don't have big budget for since I am also trying to get new comp soon. I want to spend $1400 max on it.
Here are the feature is MUST HAVE:
It needs to have intergated wireless LAN
Under 6 lb (I already have a heavy backpack, don't want to break my back! )
13inch + display size
CDRW
256 MB+ memory
Here stuff that would be nice, but don't really need them:
Floppy drive
Pointing stick
CDRW/DVD COMBO
7200 rpm HD (Quite sure I can't get with 1400 max though )
30 GB + HD
I don't have any preference on other things I didn't mention. Any suggestion would very helpful!

A used IBM ThinkPad is a viable option. If you would rather buy new, I suggest a Dell Latitude D600. Dell's Latitude line has a better reputation for build quality than their Inspiron line. The D600 offers decent graphics and dual pointing devices. 15% off coupons are routinely available at FatWallet.com and eBay. Since you are in no hurry, you can get your own 15% off coupon in a month or so by signing up at the following web page: http://membership.dell.com/myaccount/subscription/subscription.asp?seg=bsd&source_id=200000
Hmmm, you have very odd 'needs', but I would look at the D600 or Inspiron 600m as BargainSeeker suggested, or look for a second hand model.

However, the reputation isn't very acurate. Inspirons and Latitudes all use the exact same chassis. There is no difference, except some inspirons use a plastic bezel on top of their magnesium LCD covers, whereas the latitudes don't.

Who's General Failure and why's he reading my disk?
don't listen to these people, they know too much, you need a simple suggestion from a simple user as me is. writing this on a 3y old Thinkpad with DLink-G wireless on a huge parking lot with a hot spot. have never had a single glitch with it, durable as titanium (actually it is one) bought used on ubid.com for 1200 almost 2 years ago it still has 1000 sell price on itself. try that with dell on else.
..this is very useful and helpful place for information...
