I want to know if a graphic card like a quadro fx 500 have a better performance (double efficiency at least)than a radeon 9800 pro and if is a good buy. And a quadro fx 1100? I use 3dsmax.

You're best bet is to buy a Radeon 9800 and use a hacked driver to turn it into a FireGL card, or a GeforceFX 5900 and use a hacked driver to turn it into a quadroFX.

The QuadroFX 500 sucks. I believe it is basically a GeforceFX 5200 with a professional driver. Yuck.

I have a radeon 9700 pro and turn it into a fire gl, but the results was not good. Mi PC turn into a very inestable machine. I know that the quadro and the fire graphics cards are basically normal graphics cards with other drivers (and I hate it).
Thanks for the help.
I want a profesional vs play graphics cards test, but I can´t find it.

Xbit labs did one a while ago... but the results are fairly relevant:

The 500 Does Suck. Big time. You'd be much better off even with a FireGL T2 (based on the R9600).

The FX1000 and above would be better cards still.

Depending on your app though it makes a big diff. as to which one.

If you are ONLY using 3DsMax. Then it's a toss-up. The FX500 still sucks, but the other FXs are pretty good.

It's a little old, but still one of the few good ones out there that adds gaming cards. BTW, It's translated from German through Babel.

Even in <A HREF="http://www.tomshardware.com/graphic/20030916/opengl-17.html" target="_new">THG's recent review</A> the FX500 scrapes bottom.

If you don't trust a softmod, then I would say get a T2, followed by whichever is cheaper of the top cards (FX1000/1100 or Z1). The FX500 is really a waste of money at the prices they charge for it IMO.
