Could someone be kind enough and help me with my problem?
I got a windows xp home edition cd with my new pc and i installed it and
activated it and everything was just fine, untill i had to format my HD and
when i re-installed windows i cant activate it, it says that the number has
been used before.. what can i do now, i mean its my computer and my cd and
still i cant activate it..

Contact Microsoft, they will re-activate your system.

Hey Dman
I had the same problem awhile ago i had to ring microsoft themselves and
explain the situation that i had to restore my computer. They then will help
you activate, its because your code number has already been used!
someone else might have a quicker and easier way though.

Simply choose the option to activate by phone.
Call Microsoft at the displayed number.
Usually done in about 5 minutes.
