Install xp after windows 7

Hello,i want to install windows xp on my laptop running on win7 ultimate(RC).When i boot from XP CD,it starts and collects informations,load files,but then when i press enter to setup it says...setup could not find any Harddisk in your system,setup cannot continue..........Can anyone help me please.?

    What XP version are u trying to install? I think that the problem is that u need the driver of ur HD since this should be SATA.

    I see two problems here:

    1. You are still running the Windows 7 RC. Here is the information about Windows 7 Release Candidate expiring and what you need to do - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/get/release-candidate.aspx

    2. Usually Windows 7 needs to be installed after the older operating system in order to dual boot (if that is what you are trying to do).
