XGI is garbage, it's no wonder. Though ECS K7S5A is a buggy mobo, I don't think a good mobo will make a dramatic improvement.

BTW, I've never used any Club 3D cards. How good they are (apart from Volari series)?

From reading his 3DMark 03 and Aquamark score it seems like it could be a prob with 3dmark01. 30,000 in Aquamark is pretty good, and what you should expect from that card.

I think hardware wise they're a pretty good card, but driver wise they're in the dog house... and honestly, without the driver what good is the hardware?

i was hoping to get their volari v5 (single chip version)... wonder how wil it fare against a R9600p (i own one) and a fx5700ultra...

Who is from singapore? I am.

Presently like [-peep-] since the drivers are half baked :p

ok, i didnt read that bit... But tbh that isnt really such a bad problem. Im pretty sure XGI will be able to sort out the drivers pretty easily. Then again I suppose they really should have sorted the drivers out before releasing the card.

I dunno, ati took quite awhile to catchup (and in some ways surpass) nvidia's level of driver quality. XGI might take a year or more.

I've checked that thread again. With ABIT NF7-S, he got 12k 3DMark(2001). Seems that 3DMark2001 problem was caused by ECS K7S5A. But other benchmark scores/poor game performance/texture flickering issue remained same.

I think Volari V8 Duo cards will not be able to compete at all with ATI/nVidia. Card makers will stop producing them, because they are expensive and complex to produce. Single chip Volari V8 may be able to compeat with R9100/9200 and similarly priced nVidia cards if XGI can release some usable driver.

Well...from a report I got last night he has become an alcoholic monkey. Now this is worrisome, cause Mofu could end up screwing NV again....hey, maybe that's why Mojo did stupid things! I've been breeding alcoholic monkeys!
