Well guys, I'm starting this tread to show you how sad we were here
watching again racism behavior on EPL.

As from today I will keep this tread alive and list my personal banned
list of racist players.
My unique possible response will be to keep these persons listed here and
bann the players listed out of my FM gaming:

1)Aragones (staff)
2)Ray Parlour (Diof incident)
3)Riise (Glen Johnson incident)

hope the list won't grow.

Parlour pointed his white skin to Diouf to show their difference and Riise
showed to Johnson he could move away due his smell.

Riise???? Riise is not a racist. He`s best friend is John Carew ("black"
i might add). They also ended up in a fight, BUT, Riise has a very bad
temper and wether they`re white, black, yellow etc doesn`t matter. Riise
is Riise. He`s NEVER made one comment about color, but he`s english is
NOT good and some of the interviews (or the interviewers) do ask him
questions he gives "weird" answeres to, but mainly because he doesn`t
understand the question.

Riise is also a member of the anti-rasistic organisation "MOT" in norway.

I live in a country where more than 50% are african-brazilians, we can
have differences, but we can't take it as we're better, just because we're
not.

I regret to bring it up and cause such reaction, just reflected what I've
heard and saw on local TV.
Unhapilly I can't show you the tape, but I'm honest and this is not my

As I said, it is my opinion. I am not saying for a minute that you
should leave AGCM. Your posts on FM itself are very informative and
interesting to read. However, some on your opinions on wider issues
are often very strange and lack any suppprting evidence.

Maybe I was a little too harsh in my previous post and for that I
apologise. However, accusing these players of racism is frankly
stupid, regardless of what you have seen on TV.

With relief I see that you recognize the harshness, and won't take it, so
let's go ahead.
About being strange, well i'm human and fail very much, so no offence
either.
Leaving AGCM, would not unless banned. :-)

Will quit the tread (racism) on goodwill, but honestly tell you that it
was our view of both incidents, in which hopefully you (and Pink) are
right and I withdraw.

Fair enough, and I'm glad that you are not considering quitting AGCM.
Can I just suggest that you read your media, both newspaper and TV,
but take caution with everything they say? If the media in Brazil is
anything like it is here, they will often say this to cause hype, and
these stories will be based on unfounded rumours or hear'say.

Take care,

Trust me, the media is the media. Tabloids are usually worse, but the
TV can be just as bad at times.

Glen Johnson made some insane tackles in that game and was just a pain in
the arse. I don't belive Riise's gestures had anything to do with racial
issues.

I'm very confident that at least the Riise incident, which I saw, had
NOTHING racial about it. He would've done the same thing to a white player.
Anything else is over reacting.

I'm not a racist and we've NEVER had any problems with Racism in Danish
football, although there is some diversity (best player in the league is
Egyptian - Zidan), but no problems. So you would never be able to talk about
a general problem in Europe. Americans often mistake Europe for being like
one big country. The differences are huge!

Spain and mainly Italy have problems with rascism, but I don't think it
happens anywhere else.

Best regards
Lars

Come on Edu - can't really do this!

What about Diouf spitting in the face of the de Zeeuw? Surely that's
some sort of racism.

How about making some Turkish and Spanish clubs ZERO capacity - for all
their racist chanting to black players?!

It's all dependent on how everyone reacts.

Riise was in no way racist to Johnson - just think he thought that
Johnson's tackling stunk (which it did).

Edu - put racism aside, and put all your efforts behind Chelsea's last
17 games!

so why he made that gesture to Glen?

just because a man makes a jesture to another man assuming he smells it
doesn't need to be racial

if a white man told a black man to "f off" then it would not be racism
unless the white man intentionally meant it to be racist

if a white man insults a black man in any way at all it is not always racism

a white man can insult a black man surely just as a white man can insult a
white man in the same way and that a black man a black man and a black man a
white man

to say every obscene jesture made to any black person is racist is infact
even more racist than the person issuing the jesture

black men wish to be treated as equals, that means insulting them as we
would a white man, that means giving the better man the job even if the
better man be a white man, that means that we dont immediately all assume
that everytime a black man suffers an insult or a boo from the croud that it
is racism

i believe people take it too far in todays society

for instance, companies employing certain numbers of ethnic people or black,
indian, african whatever to show they are employing them.. that is racism,
it may not be meant but it is, because the person of ethnic background or
black skinned or indian is getting special treatment, different to that of a
white man, racism will always be amongst us because people interpret it
differently

rise is not a racist just because he makes jesture that a man stinks.. (lol)
ray parlour even pointing at his skin (although i never saw the incident) he
could have been saying while he was pointing at his skin "i am your daddy"
or something not "look my skin is white it is better than your skin because
yours is black" no to conclude that pointing at your skin to a black man is
racist is stupid a futile

as for other incidents then they may be racist and proven to be but rise is
not racist, nor is ray parlour, and to judge them is just pathetic

racism will never die

Did this not happen after Diouf spat at him, and he was pointing to the
spit? (Not that I can find any info about it (no mention in bbc or offical
bolton and boro sites - looks like its just your Brazilian media that picked
this up)

and
> Riise showed to Johnson he could move away due his smell.

Didn't see this on Match of the Day, but from reading other posts, he could
have been referring to the bad tackles he was making.

On the Aragones thing, the latest thing he is supposed to have said is that
he called Reyes a gypsy. Apparently Reyes is from Gypsy decent, I wasn't
aware that it was now racist to call a Gypsy a Gypsy??

3)Riise (Glen Johnson incident)

Definitively and finally - Riise is NOT racist, he was just letting Johnson
know that his tackling stunk.

Did you watch the game or just relying on what you saw mentioned on
Brazillian television?

Lars I'm a cultured man, and I do know you have even different nations in
one country.
The spanish effect might have contributted to brazilian perception of
racism in Europe, however I have withdraw my comments about Riise and
Parlour, and truly hope it was my mistake.
Time will prolly prove I was wrong together with brazilian TV commentator.

The Spice Girls were originally going to be called the Slice Girls, with each
named after their favourite cake or biscuit: hence, Ginger Nob, Cherry Tart and
Walnut Whip amongst others. The name was changed to the Spice Girls at the
last minute following a High Court injunction on behalf of Mr. Kipling.

we have it here in Oldham, if there is a attack on a caucasian by an asian
it is classed as a "attack", if a caucasian attacks a asian it is classed as
"a racially fueled attack"
