I've recently acquired a pc with an ie6 addressing problem. When trying to
get to certain http addresses, ie6 changes the http to ftp in the address,
but I haven't identified a pattern as to what addresses are affected.
i.e.
http://www.google.com will go to that address.
http://www.antivirus.com changes to ftp://www.antivirus.com which is
rejected by Trend's server.
Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

Open IE, Tools menu, Options, Program Tab, and click the "Reset Web Settings" button.
