Unlock acer travelmate laptop

my father in law passed away a year ago, he had all his passwords written down for us, but we had gotten a lot of paper work and unfortunately that was in the papers we got rid of. do you know how to get bypass password in acer travelmate 3260. I have in my kids dells before with f8 because they always forget their passwords but it is not working with this computer
