Occasionally my computer reboots randomly during usage. I'm not sure if this is an XP or hardware problem. It has happened about 3 times in the past month. Twice after clicking on an ie link and once while starting up a game.

My computer:
XP Pro SP1
p3 800
asus p3v4x 133fsb
geforce4 ti4200 128
256 ram
turtle beach santa cruz sc
300 watt antec ps
creative cdrom
liteon cd-r

I was told by a friend that instead of blue screening XP reboots. I also thought maybe something is overheating? I've only got one fan in the front but have had the side of the case open for the last month.

Any insight appreciated!

XP reboots instead of giving a BSOD because that's what the default settings tell it to do. If you go into System Properties -> Advanced -> Startup and Recovery -> Uncheck "Automatically Restart".

Doing that will cause WinXP to blue screen instead of just rebooting (you'll have to reboot manually). This way you'll be able to get more information about your error (write it down). Once you get more error information and/or an error code you can post it here or check the Microsoft Knowledge Base for more information.
