Do you have the latest firmware for the router installed? Open the Base
Station Management Tool and scroll to the bottom of the home page. You
should have firmware version 2.1.2.590. Run the upgrade if you don't.

http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/ [...] dMain.mspx

If you have the latest firmware come back and let us know. We'll set
your PC up with a static IP.

yeah, all 3 computers connected directly to the router
have static IPs and the firmware is up to date. Same

I'll add myself as another ditto for this very issue.

I have the most recent firmware installed and essentially
every morning when I sit down to work, I have to reboot the
MN-700 in order for any of my machines to get online to the
internet.

Suggestions are most welcome!

I own two of these devices. One is for work, the other is
for home. Both are running the latest firmware, and BOTH
'freeze' up over night if any sort of extended transfers
are open. This issue needs to be resolved Microsoft!

For all those suffering this issue, I just completed a tech
call with Micro$oft and have to admit, they were very
efficient. We reset modem settings last night and when I
noticed I was offline again this morning, I called them
back and provided my case number. The tech did a little
bit of troubleshooting and then let me know my modem was
likely faulty and needed to be replaced. Since the MN-700
is no longer produced, I am getting a refund and can
replace the MS router with whatever I'd like.

In short, if your MN-700 is still under warranty, call them
for technical support at 800.936.3900. You will need to
have already registered your product and you will need your
product ID.

Best of luck.
