My mate has just up graded to a new machine but he wants too keep all his old e-mails on his old machine which is running Win98 SE, He has about 2000 e-mails on his old machine, so forwarding all them to his new machine is not ideal.

Q. What is the best-way to transfore the e-mail to his new machine?

P :)

If he's using Outlook Express, for his E-mail program, Express Assist will transfer everything, by floppy disk or zip drivehttp://ajsystems.com/ea2kdnload.html

Copying the 'Application Data' folder in C:\Windows should take care of the email. There is also the possibility that it will be stored in C:\Windows\Local Settings\Application Data...

In either case, it's usually under Microsoft\Identities\(bunch of numbers/letters)\Outlook Express. I think they are .dbx files.
