My Router says it is connected to my internet provider
but it does not display any IP information.
My Internal LAN seems to be just fine just the connection
to the outside world.
I contacted my ISP and they can see my connection
authenticating just fine but that it disconnects and
reconnects every 30 seconds. They think that the router
is dropping the IP information and then can not retrieve
a new one, even though it gets through the authentication
process.
I've been told to go buy a linksys or another router. Is
this really necessary?
I have downloaded the update and will try to update
tonight. I see that it hasn't been updated since July of
2004. I know I've updated it since then so I believe I
am using the latest version. But I will check.
What are my options?
Thanks,
Adam
