i upgraded my DV1000 with preloaded xp home to xp pro... my machine doesn't
even know it has wireless!!!!!

i can't be first one to have this happen

i the device section under network adapter it does show any wireless or WLAN
stuff.

Open devmgmt.msc, or msinfo32.exe and check for conflicts on a device.
