Try reading some previous posts... Something to get your head around is the difference between "Free as in Beer" and "Free as in Speech". Linux is usually both, but there's nothing (well, nothing except market realities) to stop folks charging for it, or charging for update services, or the boxed CD sets, etc.

Having said that, you can download several distros for free from <A HREF="http://www.linuxiso.org/" target="_new">http://www.linuxiso.org/</A>.

And you can buy the freely copyable parts of several distros (Mandrake and SuSe are most common), already on CDs for little $$$ on eBay and at www.cheapbytes.com, etc. I just got SuSe 8.2 on eBay. Was like $7. for 5 CDs including shipping.

All distros *can* support it, but it's not quite as simple as that - "Beowulf" is really a whole bunch of components working together. Go have a read <A HREF="http://www.beowulf.org" target="_new">here</A> and <A HREF="http://www.beowulf-underground.org" target="_new">here</A>. Depending on what you're doing, <A HREF="http://openmosix.sourceforge.net" target="_new">OpenMosix</A> might be worth looking into.
