Attaching a network printer

I have a Broadband Wireless MN-700 54g router. I want to
connect my Minolta/Konica Magicolor 2200 color laser
printer directly to the hub instead of going through my
desktop computer, so that if the desktop is off I can
print from my notebook.

For the life of me, I cannot find any information on
configuring the network printer.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Ed Wood

I am not sure what you have to do to set up the printer
on a network but if it is DHPC configurable the router
will assign an IP address to it. It will be in the range
of 192.168.2.2 to about 192.168.2.100 You can look and
see what the DHCP address range of the router is by going
to the Base Station Management Tool and look in Local
Area Network. In the printer setup if you have to assign
an IP address to it, you can assign it an address outside
the DHCP range. example 192.168.2.150. You do not have to
do anything to the router.

I have tried the suggestion in this post without success.
I am able to set the ip address in my printer, but the
router does not recognize it. If you or anyone else has
any suggestions, I really need your help.

Have a great weekend (Mother's Day).

I have no help to offer but have posted a similar request. Trying to network
off an open port using ethernet cable. I continue to get a communication
error when trying to configure the printers net card
