Hi I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on the MSI Geforce FX 5600xt-td128. It seems to be about $80 cheaper than most 5600 cards, was curious if anyone knows why? and if anyone has any other sugestions for me, (my price range is aprox 160-180 Canadian and this card falls in that range.

anyways LMK
thanks

the Ti4200 is a better bet and is also in that price range.

If you really want DirectX 9, get yourself a 9600 non-pro for $190 canadian.

You can get a Sapphire R9600non-pro from NCIX for $161.54 CDN

Just FYI.

And yes Spak, even a GF4ti would be better than the crippled FX5600XT. The reason why it's cheaper than most other FX5600s out there? 64bit memory, not 128, therefore lower throughput. But even if it were a regular FX5600non-ultra the R9600 would outperform in most situations.
