I'm trying to run 3DMark03 on my new system and I keep getting an error when it starts:

AppName: 3dmark03.exe AppVer: 3.2.0.0 ModName: direcpll.dll
ModVer: 4.10.1.39 Offset: 0000266a

My system is a INtel 2.6c ghz on a MSI-6758 NEO2FSR mother board, 512mb Corsair Pro 3200, ATI 9600 XT 128mb

Now I did have success running the 3DMark03 program when I had My Nvidia 5200 pro 128mb card installed.

I wanted to compare it to the new ATI Card I bought. So I uninstalled the Nvidia card and installed the latest ATI drivers. As soon as I ran the 3DMark03 I got the above error.

I have tried uninstalling 3DMark03 and reinstalling it with no change.

I have even reinstalled my OS XP pro SP1 with the ATI card installed. And again as I run the 3DMark03 it crashes.

Is there a problem with 3DMark and the ATI card?? I'm sure if I uninstalled the ATI drivers and Installed the old Nvidia 5200 it would work.

ANy thoughts. My system has the lastest of all bios, and OS drivers.

Thanks

how could you be sure without trying it?
btw, a fresh Windows installation is always the Best way when you change a new video card, at least that's what i always did

Well I could reinstall the 5200 nvidia, but thats not the point.

I have a fresh build with the new Ati Card 9600xt 3DMark03 still does not work.

What I wanted to know is, has anyone else had a problem with 3DMark03 and the ATI 9600xt Card

You are probably experiencing that same ghosting issue as I am with one of my rig with CoD. Use the Driver Cleaner 2 from driverheaven to clean all nvidia drivers and reinstall the Cat drivers first. Other wise just pray that you dont have to go through the hell that I have been with my issue and looking at a possible system dump for resolvement.
