What does your motherboard manual say about the BIOS and
installing memory?

Does your Bios automatically recognize memory, or do you
need to go into setup and manually TELL is about memory?

Go to www.crucial.com and verify that the memory you bought is compatible
with your motherboard.

Is the new stick single sided? The higher single sided desnity may not be
supported by your board. Double sided should work.
