I installed a wireless router which has one of its wired
ports connected to my XP PC. All works fine except:
The LAN icon and the port on the router are CONSTANTLY
active (internet icon is only active when I am accessing
the internet).
If I do not reboot daily, some paging files get filled
up, the system slows to a crawl and disk activity goes
thru the proverbial roof.
It would seem the PC is 'pinging' the router every
second. Is there some change I canmake to stop this?
