Hi, I need to help my friend out with getting a new laptop. The most requiring task will be running DotA 2.

1. What is your budget?
1000 Australian Dollars, but willing to go a little higher (100-200$) if it's a really good offer.

2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering?
Doesn't matter.

3. What screen resolution do you want?
Doesn't matter.

4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop?
Both?

5. How much battery life do you need?
As much as possible, but isn't an issue.

6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)?
DotA 2, as high as possible.

7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.)
Just surfing, and school work, nothing CPU intensive.

8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need?
As much as possible, but don't think it's high priority.

9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links.
www.harveynorman.com.au
www.dicksmith.com.au
Any other Australian site.

10. How long do you want to keep your laptop?
As long as possible, 3 years lifetime would be nice.

11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ?
Not important.

12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons.
All brands are fine.

13. What country do you live in?
Australia.

14. Please tell us any additional information if needed.

Is it true that Dota 2 recommended system requirement for graphics is Nvidia 7600 / ATI 1600 or better?

If so - that's any laptop graphics card better than Sandy Bridge HD 3000 Graphics IGP.

That ASUS A53SD and it's GT 610M graphics (renamed GT 520M) is about 28% better than HD 3000 Graphics.
