I reinstalled Windows XP home edition and discovered that the sound drivers
for the Hercules Game Theatre XP were not installed. I have reinstalled the
drivers and everything worked well. The problem is that on reboot the audio
device is not picked up. Looking in Sounds and Devices it shows No Audio
Device on the volume tab. I can go to the Hardware tab and see the devices
still listed. If I go to the specific drivers I can update the drivers and
everything works well again. But once again on reboot I lose the audio
device once more.

Any suggestions how I can install these drivers and have them retained the
next time I turn the computer on.

Many thanks for any help

Peter

I had this exact same thing happen to me a month ago and am just now trying
to firgure out how to get my audio back. I blew out my operating system and
had to reinstall it...after doing so, I also lost my audio. It would be
great to have someone answer this question for me as I am stumped.
thank you
Lara
