I have deleted quite a few screen savers through Control Panel>Add or Remove
Programs. When I go to Display Properties>Screen Savers and try to choose a
screen saver, the ones previously deleted show up there. These screen savers
do not work. When I try to access one these different error messages, etc.
pop up. I just want to know how to delete them off my Display Properties
and off my computer for good.

The screensaver files are normally located in the %system%\Windows\System32
folder, in most cases, the c:\\Windows\System32

The contents of this folder are usually hidden

Select the Tools menu and click Folder | Options
Select the View Tab.
Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and
folders.
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm.
Click OK.

The files will be listed as screensaver in type

If you open that folder in explorer, click View | Details
Then click View | Arrange Icons by, then click "type",
Finally click View | Arrange Icons then check "Show in Groups"
this will group all the screensavers together to make them easier to find

Scroll down to your Screensavers group and you can then right click the
files in question, and choose Delete at next boot
Confirm that you wish to delete
Close Explorer
Reboot your PC

FYI, the folowing are the basic Windows screensavers
