I have not tried it, but is there any obvious problem with installing
Netscape 4.79 into WinXP Media Edn (SP2)? I only want it so that I can get
Composer as an alternative to the very expensive MS Frontpage.

I already have IE6 and Firefox and I don't want to do anything that will
upset them - hence the question.

I'm not sure about Windows XP Media Edition, but I have IE 6, Firefox, and
Netscape 4.79 installed on a Windows XP Home Edition (SP2) computer and they
don't conflict with each other.

I saw your clarification, and yes, it's Netscape Communicator 4.79 I have
installed.

All done now - no problems (so far!!).

The only thing I had to deal with was that the Netscape software wanted to
take over as the defaults for Internet and E-Mail and I had to stop it.

Glad you got it working. Hopefully you won't have any problems, I haven't had
any.
