Any recommendations?

The low end one from i.Tech looks interesting :)

Meanwhile we might want to start a petition to Palm to put in BT1.2
into Treo 650... pay a sum for software upgrade also worth it :)

You do realize that 1.2 is just, basically, an improvement of the
baseband ? No new functionnalities.

Being able to use more than one bluetooth partner at one time
is certainly a "functionality" that would be useful to many people. If you
wanted to use a bluetooth headset and communicate between your Palm and a
bluetooth-enabled telephone, you can't.

I see this as a major blocker.

And it has always been included in the Bluetooth specifications: it's a
Piconet.

That's right (well, almost), but it's because of the architecture of
Garnet, and using a 1.2 Bluetooth stack won't change anything to that
unfortunate limitation.

Note that it works in Cobalt: the architecture of OS 6 is much more
suited to communications.
