burned data cd prompts me to 'open with'

Hi,

I am using Windows XP media center edition 2002 with SP2. I can burn a data
cd, word and excel documents, with no errors or problems. When I goto my
computer and double click on the cd drive I am prompted to "choose a program
you want to use to open this file:"

I checed the autoplay option and it is set to open in windows explorer for
mixed content. I also tried roxio and recordnow buring software and both do
the same thing. Anyone have any ideas????
