Matrox to Offer PCI-EX solutions too.

Just some trickling info about the certification process, but obviously Matrox is moving to a PCI-EX solution.

It would make alot of sense for their Editing products as well, but this does seem mainly graphics oriented right now due to the comment in the article.

They say it's to have some DX9 features, well the Parhelia already has SOME DX9 features, so that's not ground breaking.

Also thought the Xbit comment that the P didn't bring new features was a little ignorant. Surround gaming and 16X Fragment AA is something even if it's not as sexy as 500FPS in Quake 3 at 800x600.

They better offer it in 8x AGP, too. Or have a bridge of some sort...I'd hate not to be able to run it.

IMO, Surround gaming and 16xFAA are sexier than 500FPS in Quake3, just not nearly as good in bed :frown: . Shame too.

Arghh...glad I didn't get the Parhelia yet: going to rethink it.

Maxtor disgraces the six letters that make Matrox.

Yeah waiting won't hurt the Parhelia purchase IMO.

Good to see what they have coming out if there is something good on the horizon perhaps.
