Do You FSAA & ANISO

Just wondering who uses FSAA & ANISO while gaming? What settings do you use, and on what Graphics card? I personally tend to not use it for most games, as I like to play at my 1280x1024 desktop resolution and my Radeon 9500 Pro isn't quite able to keep the fps high enough.

If I had a Radeon 9800 pro or faster, I would use 4X/8X as much as possible. Any other Radeon 9600 Pro, 9500 Pro, 9700 users care to share what resolutions/settings they play at?

I like to play at 1024x768 with 4x/8x. Though i have a decent monitor I never saw any benifit of running anything higher than 1024x768. I think its just because I was running some tough games on my old computer so I had to get used to it. My system is in my sig.

I run at 1024x768 as well, though I tend to run games in windowed mode, and at a lower resolution.

I usually do 2x AA, and rarely some Aniso. I'm just scared that the fan on the GPU would start whining to me again, or just plain die on me, so nothing too extreme.

Generally off for performance issues...I have been using 2X for both lately just to see how it looks and what impact it has on performance...I suppose if I had a 5900U or something I would run it higher, but my Ti4200 won't handle much more than that with newer games.

I always play at 1280x1024x32bpp with all of the pretties turned on. If it seems slow, I'll turn off vsync. Usually good to go after that!

I try all games at 1280*1024 plus FSAA + AF, if it doesn't work, I lower res then turn off FSAA + AF. Currently Max Payne 2 is smooth as silk with everything maxed and FSAA + AF. Call of Duty gave me a few hiccups at first, so i play it without AA or AF. BTW, I'm running a R9500Pro (stock speeds) with a Athlon XP 2100 and 512 megs of RAM.

Some games I do (Max Payne 2 and older titles), some games I don't (Morrowind) because of the hit I take from enabling it. I prefer running Morrwing at higher res than higher AA/AF, but MP2 seems to run fine with higher settings + AA/AF, and it does seem to benifit from it more.

Well thanks everyone. I was just curious to see the settings you all use. I will experiment more with each game myself, but would have a hard time giving up 1280x1024.

I play games at 1024 x 768 (15" CRT monitor). I don't do AA most of the time, 'cause my Radeon 9000 is not good for AA. If I had a real AA capable card, then I would do AA in all games except FPS games. I don't find AF useful, so I keep it off.

I run most games 1024*768 at 2x FSAA and 8x Ansio.

My card can definitely handle 4x FSAA playable in every title I've tried, but I prefer less overhead.

Besides, 2xFSAA on an Ati is like 4xFSAA on a GeforceFX.

I like AA and will drop res to keep it. AF isn't so important to my eye. With my 9600 pro ,in halo my res is 1020 AA 4X AF 2x. Using an xp2500 @ 180 x 12.5. If I have to run D3 in 800 X 600 to keep 2X AA I may.
