I bought a Gigabyte GV-R9000Pro II graphics card a while ago. The problem is half the colours seem to be missing (roses are blue, the XP close button is a dirty brown). DOS programs also come up garbled.

I'm using it with XP Pro, P4 2.4B, Gigabyte 8INXP. I have a slightly older (ie 3 years) CRT monitor.

Anyone have any ideas (ie do I just take it back?). Tried it with another monitor but same problems.

Thanks all.

Right click on the desktop, scroll down to properties. The display properties menu pops up, go to settings and see what color depth is set (16-color, 256 color, 16-bit, 24-bit, 32-bit) and what video card is listed there.
