I have just found out from the powercolor site, that dispite there on-line site stating that there 9600 XT cards support overdrive, that this is not the case, according to there own FAQ, which now says that only the 9600 XT "Bravo" cards support this function. Not only that, but they go on to say that the orig 9600 XT is based on the 9600 pro card with higher speed ram and chip.

Not Happy at all, I wanted the heat sensor and now I find it's not even present, nor is it even a 9600 XT board.

Yeah ALOT of cards are like that (the sensor not the PRO BS [another reason not to trust Powercolor!])

The Sapphire line only has the Thermal Diode in the Fireblade edition of the R9600XT (no news about the Ultimate edition, although I think that would be the BEST use of it).

NOT ALL XTs have Thermal Diodes/Overdrive.

I'm not sure about the accuracy of the above list regarding ASUS as many reviews have pointed to this feature and pulled the thermal temps from the board using Rivatuner.
