I have been trying to get on a certain Quicken financial software newsgroup
that is not carried by Microsoftnewsgroups. I went to Google and found
different servers (free ones of course), but they won't download. Their
ext. is fip. or something close to that.
If I am lucky enough to get a server and download it, it asks me if I want
to access the newsgroups and I say yes, and then it says "cannot find
server".
I am not sure what to do here. I went to all the help places and just
cannot figure it out. I called my internet services= Comcast - and they
didn't know what I was talking about.
Any help here would be appreciated. Sometimes in my posts people tell me I
am not giving them enough information, so let me know if you need more. I
am running Windows XP and am using OE for newsgroups and Yahoo and AOL for
internet access.
Thanks.
