Hello, everyone!

I want to buy a new notebook to replace my 5 year-old desktop.
Unfortunately, I'm having some trouble deciding which model to get: The Dell Vostro 3550 or the Asus N53TA.
I'm gonna use it mainly to do college work and gaming (like dragon age, the sims 3, skyrim, fable III and maybe Diablo III)
I know these may not be actual gaming laptops, but i'm from Brazil and I don't have many specific options here. Besides, they are extremely high-priced.
Regarding the price, they are very similar. The N53TA is around U$ 100 more expensive than the Vostro.

Solution
Can you confirm the Vostro also has HDMI out, USB 3.0, Webcam, WiFi 802.11n, and maybe Bluetooth 3.0? I believe it should have those.

Vostro advantages: Faster CPU, anti-glare matte LCD screen, faster 7200rpm HDD.
Business class notebook with better ruggedness and durability over time.

Asus N53TA advantages: Better Graphics, better speakers, 6GB RAM
Might have a 2yr warranty but that could vary from country to country.

I could not find any Asus N53TA reviews.

Thank you for replying!

WR2,

a) yes, it does have all these features, i checked on their website.

b) I read the reviews and watched some gameplay videos on youtube and I actually liked how Vostro went out.

Maziar and WR2,

I share your opinion and still think Asus may have a better graphic performance (and this is important to me, because gaming will be a reality), but the fact that I can't find almost any reviews, or gameplay videos makes me worried and lost, because this kinda compromises the comparison. Despite owning an Asus netbook (to take notes in class) and trusting the brand, I'm tending to choose the Vostro.
However, if Asus' GPU performance is significantly better than Vostro's, I'll have to think it over :)
