HL2?! WHEN?!

Sorry to post here..but since this is the enthusiast area... When will we see HL2 on our shelves?! And what about FarCry?! Doom 3?! Or any other real DX9 game... since I've played FarCry I almost can't look to any other game...Its simply great and I want more!

HL2 doesn't have a release date yet (ignore the ones that already passed), Doom]|[ is supposedly set for April Fool's Day, FC: 3/22/04 as you said.

IIRC, Valve isn't even making tentative dates...they're simply not making a release date until they are sure of themselves. I don't expect HL2 until mid/late April.

Actually the latest info was not until September.

So nobody really knows for sure.

True it's OPEN GL; but the shaders in the default ARB will be DX9.0+ PS2.0/VS2.0 equivalent shaders (vertex and fragment), even though technically they may be OGL 1.5 or 2.0, or whatever (1.4?).
