I am running XP Pro but this also happened, before I installed Pro, in
XP Home. It was, in fact, this problem that prompted me to install XP
Pro. When I right click on My Computer and click 'Explore', all I ever
see is the oscillating flashlight. Also, trying to open folders in Word
or Excell won't change folders or select files. Any suggestions will be
gratefully received. TIA

Did you try getting more current drivers? That is the only thing that i can
imagine is causing this problem.

Thanks for the suggestion. How would I go about getting "more current
drivers"? I have Service Pack 2 installed. What else can I look for,
where, and so forth.

Well you can go to the website for the manufacturer of your hardware. In
this case your camera. But it would not hurt to upgrade the rest of your
drivers at the same time. It could be any one of the drivers that are
causing a conflict. Its too hard to tell. But id definatly go to the website
of the camera manufacturer first. Then if that still doesnt correct the
issue. start updating one driver at a time. I hope it will fix it for you.
Feel free to Email me directly. I can help you locate the drivers if you
need that help. markbarrett@mgbconsultinginc.com
