Are these card as good as the one you buy directly from ati? Also if there not as good are they at least worth the price . $225 for a 9800 pro

Sapphire has a good reputation. Powercolor does not.

There isn't any difference between ATI, Sapphire, Powercolor, etc. I've never dealt with Powercolor, but I've heard that there may be a quality control problem with their cards. Too many RMA's. I have ordered many Sapphire cards and have never had an RMA.

Be carefull about PowerColor.. The big diference is the quality of construction of the card. I've had 2 powercolor cards based on Nvidia and had problems with both.. maybe bad luck of mine.. Sapphire is a I quality brand that uses high quality materials and assembly. Ati cards are also great in quality. The problems I had with powercolor were the cooler stopping. Sapphire card are actualy the choice of ati for best brand usin ati chip I think..

IMO, If you can afford it, the Saphire 9800 Pro for $225 is best deal in gaming cards right now. I just ordered one a few days ago myself. If this is too much money, a Radeon 9600 pro is a good choice.

Ati retail boxed cards come with a 3 year warranty, Saphire is 1 year. I mostly buy Built by ATI cards, but to me it isn't worth the extra price right now to step up to a retail ATI built 9800 Pro at $267.
