What is the best video driver for an older GeForce2 GTS Pro and W95? Newer driver sets have severe conflict problems with either W95 or the older cards hardware itself. NWIZ.exe and NVCPL.dll installation boot crashes are the issues with 53.04 drivers that I want to avoid. NIVIDIA seems to think that the 53.04 are fine for this card and 95/98/ME. I say otherwise based on all the boot load conflicts. Below are the driver sets issued after 30.82. The 30.82 driver seems to be "OK" and avoids any loading conflicts but, I still want to update this computer to the best driver available.

I agree with Titanion...v44.03 drivers are the best for older cards. I have 3 systems running with nVidia cards and v44.03 drivers...WIN2K with GF3 Ti200; WIN98SE with GF2 GTS; WIN98SE with GF4 MX440.

I have found through benchmarking that anything higher than 44.03 drives down the performance of older hardware..

Spec:
Intel P4 2.4B
MSI 645E Max-U Mobo
512MB DDR333
GF3 ti200 64MB
SB Live 5.1
WD 60GB
Maxtor 120GB
LG 12x8x32 CDR
WIN2K PRO SP4

No recent experience with Win95 or Geforce2 but try using Detonator Destroyer. It cleans up remnants of older driver installations which may be giving your problems.
