"Not capable of running MS-DOS"

Archived from groups: microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support (More info?)

When I run programs, ones that use MS-DOS I get an error:
C:\Windows\System32\AutoEXEC.NT this system is not capable of running
MS-DOS. How can I fix this
