Is there a way to stop the services running that are associated with the user
only? What about having these services not run at all when logging in?
Thanks.

Services control panel - stop them there.
or
Command line --> Net Stop "Service Name"
or
Set the service in the service control panel to Manual or Disabled.

The information is provided "as is", it is suggested you research for
yourself before you take any advice - you are the one ultimately
responsible for your actions/problems/solutions. Know what you are
getting into before you jump in with both feet.
