HI, I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP.
I HAD TO REINSTALL WINDOWS XP AFTER IT STARTED GOING REALLY OFF THE
RAILS AND WOULDN'T EVEN LET ME DO A SYSTEM RESTORE. WHEN IT'D BEEN
REINSTALLED I COULDN'T GET BACK INTO MY OLD USER AREA, BUT ALL THE
DOCUMENTS WERE STILL THERE (THAT PROBLEM IS NOW FIXED). I NOW REALISE
THAT I HAD ABOUT 15 GB OF SPACE LEFT ON MY HD BEFORE ALL THIS HAPPENNED
AND NOW I ONLY HAVE 4. WHERE HAS ALL THIS SPACE GONE AND HOW CAN I
RECOVER IT?

THANKS

CHRIS

Chris, it sounds as though you installed an second copy of XP to your
hard drive - when you reinstalled you should have kept everything at
the default settings.

What I would suggest is to back up all your data and then wipe the
drive and start fresh.

Sounds like your new copy of XP is installed on a new created
partition...usually done by the user at time of install.
