A strange problem occured on my new machine. After I put it into
hibernation, everything looks ok. Then, when I boot the sistem and the logon
screen appears, I cannot enter into my account. My password isn't recognized
(I get a friendly "Did you forget your password" message:) After normal
restart, all works well. Why does this happen? I'm running WinXP SP2 Prof.

Thanks.

Hi,

Dumb question, but are the capslock and numlock keys in the right position?
Sometimes they will become disabled after hibernate if they are normally in
the "on" position. It is also possible that your keyboard driver is not
properly supported under hibernate and is not returning the right character
set when you resume. In the latter case, an updated driver may help, and may
not. Sometimes, hibernate simply will not function correctly on some
hardware combinations.
